Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (68 ounces each)
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, dried oregano, dried thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt to form a thick paste.
  4. Place the dried chicken breasts in the bowl with the herb paste and rub the mixture all over every surface. Let sit for 10-15 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket lightly with olive oil spray. Place the chicken breasts in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they aren’t touching.
  6. Spray the tops of the chicken breasts lightly with olive oil spray.
  7. Cook for 10 minutes.
  8. Flip the chicken breasts using tongs, spray the other side lightly with olive oil spray, and cook for another 8-10 minutes.
  9. Check for doneness: internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part.
  10. Remove from air fryer and let rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For extra crispy results, after flipping the chicken, spray with oil and sprinkle a tiny pinch of cornstarch on top. Don’t skip the resting time. If your air fryer runs hot, reduce temperature to 365°F.
