This Easy Cream Cheese Caramel Apple Dip is a quick, no-bake dessert that turns a simple mistake into a signature dish. Creamy, sweet, and tangy with a light, mousse-like texture, it’s perfect for potlucks, game nights, or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ½ cup thick caramel sauce (plus more for drizzling)
  • ½ cup toffee bits (optional)
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt (optional)
  • Apple slices (for serving, such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese: Remove from fridge 30-60 minutes before starting, or microwave on low for 10-15 seconds. It should be soft but not greasy.
  2. Whip the cream cheese: Place softened cream cheese in a large bowl. Beat with a hand mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth, light, and fluffy. Scrape down sides halfway through.
  3. Add brown sugar and vanilla: Add packed brown sugar and vanilla extract. Beat on low until combined, then increase to medium and beat for 1 minute until sugar is dissolved.
  4. Fold in caramel sauce: Gently fold in ½ cup caramel sauce with a spatula until just combined, leaving streaks of caramel. Do not overmix.
  5. Add toffee bits (optional): Fold in toffee bits, reserving 1 tablespoon for topping.
  6. Chill the dip: Transfer to a serving dish. Drizzle extra caramel on top, swirl gently, and sprinkle reserved toffee bits and flaky sea salt. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 24 hours).
  7. Serve: Just before serving, slice apples. Arrange around dip on a platter. Serve cold or at room temperature.

Notes

Room temperature cream cheese is crucial for a smooth, fluffy texture. Do not overmix the caramel to maintain marbled streaks. For best results, chill at least 30 minutes. Slice apples just before serving to prevent browning, or toss in lemon water. This dip can be made up to 24 hours in advance.
