  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: pinch of smoked paprika or chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil until smooth. Season with salt and pepper and add smoked paprika if desired.
  3. Trim the asparagus by snapping off the woody ends and spread evenly on a parchment-lined sheet pan.
  4. Drizzle half of the honey mustard glaze over the asparagus and toss gently to coat evenly.
  5. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them skin-side down on the sheet pan, spacing evenly.
  6. Brush the remaining glaze generously over the top of each salmon fillet.
  7. Season the salmon with a little extra salt and pepper if desired.
  8. Roast in the oven for 12-15 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and the skin is crispy, and the asparagus is tender but still crisp.
  9. Optional: Broil for 1-2 minutes at the end for extra crispiness, watching closely to avoid burning.
  10. Serve immediately with an extra squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
