This quick and easy pumpkin spice punch is the perfect non-alcoholic drink for Friendsgiving. Made with apple cider, pumpkin purée, and ginger ale, it’s a crowd-pleaser that comes together in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (960 ml) apple cider
  • 1 cup (240 ml) pumpkin purée (100% pumpkin, not pie filling)
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ cup (50 g) packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups (960 ml) ginger ale
  • ½ cup (120 ml) freshly squeezed orange juice
  • Ice for serving
  • Optional garnishes: cinnamon sticks, star anise, fresh rosemary sprigs, thin apple slices

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Use a fork or your fingers to break up any clumps.
  2. In a large pitcher or punch bowl, whisk together the apple cider and pumpkin purée until smooth and no streaks remain.
  3. Add the brown sugar-spice mixture, vanilla extract, and orange juice. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness or spice as needed.
  4. If time allows, cover and refrigerate the base for 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
  5. Just before serving, gently stir in the ginger ale to keep the carbonation.
  6. Prepare ice: use an ice ring or ice cubes. For a decorative touch, freeze apple slices, cinnamon sticks, or cranberries into the ice.
  7. Ladle the punch into glasses or mugs. Garnish with cinnamon sticks, apple slices, or star anise if desired.

Notes

Make the base (steps 1-3) up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate. Add ginger ale and ice just before serving. For a spiked version, add 1 cup dark rum, bourbon, or spiced whiskey to the base. For a warm version, omit ginger ale and ice, combine all other ingredients in a slow cooker on low for 2-3 hours.
