Ingredients

Scale
  • 10-inch flour tortillas
  • 810 slices deli turkey (thinly sliced)
  • 2 slices cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
  • Softened cream cheese (plain or herb-flavored)
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)
  • Mayonnaise or mustard (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Lay out a 10-inch flour tortilla on a cutting board.
  2. Spread a thin layer of softened cream cheese evenly over the tortilla, leaving about a half-inch border around the edges.
  3. Optionally, spread a thin layer of mayonnaise or mustard on top of the cream cheese.
  4. Place 3-4 slices of deli turkey evenly across the tortilla.
  5. Top with 2 slices of cheese, tearing if necessary to fit evenly.
  6. Add a few lettuce leaves if desired.
  7. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  8. Roll the tortilla tightly from one edge to the other to form a firm log shape.
  9. Wrap the rolled tortilla tightly in plastic wrap or parchment paper and chill in the fridge for at least 15 minutes.
  10. Slice into 1-inch thick pinwheels using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  11. Arrange on a serving plate and serve.

Notes

Soften cream cheese before spreading for easier application. Chill the rolled tortilla before slicing to help pinwheels hold their shape. Warm tortillas slightly if too stiff. Use a serrated knife or pizza cutter for clean slices. Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge up to 2 days. Avoid freezing to maintain texture.
