A quick and easy Halloween treat combining white chocolate, salty pretzels, and candy corn for a sweet-salty-crunchy snack that disappears every time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
  • 1 ½ cups mini pretzel twists
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • ¼ teaspoon flaky sea salt (optional)
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans or peanuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your pan. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, overlapping the edges slightly for easy removal.
  2. Melt the white chocolate. Place 12 ounces of white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals on 50% power, stirring thoroughly after each interval, until mostly melted with a few small lumps. Stir continuously until residual heat melts the last bits. Do not overheat.
  3. Add the pretzels. Pour 1 ½ cups of mini pretzel twists into the melted white chocolate. Fold gently with a spatula until the pretzels are evenly coated. Do not overmix.
  4. Spread the mixture. Transfer the chocolate-pretzel mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a spatula to spread it into an even layer, about ¼ to ½ inch thick.
  5. Add the candy corn. While the chocolate is still wet and tacky, scatter 1 cup of candy corn over the top. Press each piece gently into the chocolate so they stick.
  6. Optional: Sprinkle with salt. If using flaky sea salt, sprinkle it lightly over the entire surface (about ¼ teaspoon).
  7. Set the bark. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely firm and no longer sticky to the touch. For faster setting, freeze for 15 minutes but watch carefully to avoid condensation.
  8. Break into pieces. Once set, lift the bark off the baking sheet using the parchment paper. Break into irregular pieces by hand or cut into clean squares with a sharp knife.

Notes

Work quickly once chocolate is melted as white chocolate sets fast. Use room temperature candy corn to prevent chocolate from seizing. For best texture, make a day ahead and store in the fridge. If chocolate seizes, whisk in a tablespoon of vegetable oil to smooth it out.
