A quick and easy sparkling blueberry mojito mocktail that combines fresh blueberries, mint, lime, and sparkling water for a refreshing, alcohol-free drink perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries (about 75g), ripe and firm
  • 1012 fresh mint leaves, bright green and unbruised
  • 1 whole lime, juiced plus a few wedges for garnish
  • 1 cup sparkling water (240ml), plain or lightly flavored
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup (30ml), homemade or store-bought
  • Ice cubes, crushed or cubed
  • Optional: extra blueberries and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the blueberries and mint leaves under cold water and pat dry. Cut the lime in half and juice one half, reserving wedges for garnish.
  2. Place the blueberries and mint leaves in the bottom of a highball or tall glass. Gently muddle to release juices and aromatic oils without bruising the mint.
  3. Add the freshly squeezed lime juice and simple syrup to the glass. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Fill the glass with crushed or cubed ice to the top.
  5. Slowly pour sparkling water into the glass, stirring lightly once or twice to mix flavors while preserving bubbles.
  6. Garnish with a sprig of mint, a few fresh blueberries, and a lime wedge on the rim. Serve immediately.

Notes

Do not over-muddle the mint to avoid bitterness. Use fresh ingredients for best flavor. Adjust sweetness by varying simple syrup. Chill glass beforehand to keep drink cooler longer. Sparkling water preferred over soda for less sweetness and more fizz. Frozen blueberries can be used if thawed slightly. Clean muddler thoroughly to avoid flavor contamination.
