A quick and easy summer punch combining fresh strawberries, lemon juice, vodka, and sparkling water for a refreshing and crowd-pleasing drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 4 large lemons, juiced (about 3/4 cup lemon juice)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups vodka
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse, hull, and slice about 2 cups of fresh strawberries. Place them in a blender or food processor and pulse until smooth puree, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Roll 4 large lemons on the countertop, cut in half, and juice them to get about 3/4 cup lemon juice. Strain to avoid seeds if necessary.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the strawberry puree, fresh lemon juice, and 3/4 cup granulated sugar. Stir vigorously until sugar dissolves completely, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add 1 1/2 cups vodka and 3 cups cold water to the pitcher. Stir well to blend. Taste and adjust sugar or lemon juice if needed.
  5. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the punch over. Just before serving, top each glass with a splash of sparkling water or club soda. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Add sparkling water just before serving to keep the fizz. Adjust sweetness and vodka amount to taste. Use frozen strawberries thawed if fresh are unavailable. For a lower alcohol version, reduce vodka and add sparkling lemonade or lemon-lime soda.
