This savory Chex mix combines cool ranch seasoning with zesty Old Bay for an irresistible, crunchy snack that disappears at every party. It’s incredibly easy to make with simple pantry ingredients and perfect for game days, holidays, or any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (roasted, salted peanuts and cashews)
  • 1 cup cheese crackers (like Goldfish or Cheez-Its)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning mix
  • 2 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Rice Chex, pretzel sticks, mixed nuts, and cheese crackers. Toss gently to distribute.
  3. In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add Worcestershire sauce, ranch seasoning mix, Old Bay, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne (if using). Whisk until smooth.
  4. Pour the seasoning mixture evenly over the dry ingredients. Toss gently with a spatula or your hands until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Spread the mixture in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes, until the mix is dry and crunchy.
  7. Let cool completely on the baking sheet (at least 30 minutes). Break up any large clumps.
  8. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

For best results, stir every 15 minutes during baking to ensure even crispness. Let cool completely before storing to maintain crunch. The flavors deepen after 24 hours, so making it a day ahead is recommended.
